Hey, was haltet ihr davon, wenn wir ein englischsprachiges internationales Subforum einrichten? Wir könnten einige unserer Texte übersetzen und einstellen. Vielleicht bleiben unsere Gäste dann ja nach diesem Wochenende auch weiter im Forum.

Hatten wir das nicht schon mal vor? Stichwort "Englischer Garten"?

Ich persönlich bin immer noch für eine übersetzung des A 23 Textes aus dem Grundkurs (glaub so um die Seite 40 rum). Der Text der darlegt was A23 eigentlich ist.

Ansonnsten bin ich dafür dafür zu sein oder zumindest nicht dagegen dafür zu sein ...

Action 23
is a phenomenon within the Erisian Movement, which shall allow individuals to spread their opinions 1. anonymously and 2. organized.
The main aim is to release creativity and give the people a possibility to express their opinion. Action 23 is only one example for the possibilities of communication between individuals and can also be used as a blueprint for other individual projects.
It is not protected by any copyright laws, is not subjected by censorship, and is really independent and above party lines. (Voice from the back seats: "It's not true, we're all anarchists here!")
In chapter 4, you will find a collection of available flyers revealed to us, B. Metulevskie, Adornus Abel Magnifikus Makulatus and Frater M23, not a few many years ago on one of our travels through space and time (we only had a towel and... that's another story!). As you will see after studying them, the action is based on the pyramid principle and its success depends on the people willing to participate in it. That includes you. But attention! You will be violating the law (bla bla...), for Action 23 is the most subversive I could come up with as to now, or at least the most subversive I had the courage to publish.

Aktion 23 is quite a loose thing without clear definition, personally I see it as some kind of meta-cabal (most members of Aktion 23 are still members of some other original cabal) or even a Discordian Sect, but (as usual) the other members (especially Apfelsator) would disagree. Right now, online activity is comparably low, we have lost some of our strongest contributors, yet the member count has always been quite fluctuating. Truly active members never seemed to exceed a hand full of people, at least not during my active time, but it’s hard to tell about the activity since virtually anyone can adopt the “Aktion 23” name (similar to Operation Mindfuck or Anonymous). We are quite long-running - Bratislav Metulevskie (who probably is founder of Earth’s branch of Aktion 23) can trace back the roots of Aktion 23 as reaching back to at least March 1996 (I love parentheses. Just sayin’…).

Topics cover the “usual Discordian spectrum” of pranks (we are prone to fail at playing them), magic, politics, art (creation of more or less iconic imagery, more or less holy scripture etc.), random activism (often similar to your definition of Discordian Activityism) and other bullshit, without any clear direction. There are Bratislav’s two books (German language again) related to Aktion 23, there are broken and lost forums, some heaps of German Discordian Holy Scripture and a bunch of stuff hopefully yet to come if we ever find some time (a German language Discordian wiki for example).

I hope that was satisfying even though with most links you will run face first into the language barrier.

BTW, I guess Chasing Eris will probably shed some light on Discordianism in German-speaking countries too, and I hope it will be some fancy colourful light.
