:schumi: Wenn's nicht zu kompliziert werden soll und im Bereich meiner Kompetenz liegt? Klar.

Das klingt ganz interessant:
School of Privacy hat geschrieben: The Riseup collective has been working to strengthen Internet privacy and facilitate freedom of speech for the past 14 years (that’s since 1999, by the way). Based in Seattle, the Riseup collective aims to provide free services that anyone can use that actively defend against surveillance by corrupt governments, or other private entities. These services include e-mail, mailing lists, VPNs, chat via the XMPP protocol, and an etherpad. All of these are free to use so long as you have an account with Riseup (except for the etherpad which can be used by anyone at any time).

Obtaining an account with Riseup is as simple as obtaining two unique invite codes from a friends who have an account, or by submitting a written application to which they will reply with your account status. Both methods are simple, and the response time for the application method is usually within 36 hours. If you are interested in signing up, you can navigate to https://user.riseup.net/forms/new_user/first.

You can choose between using Squirrel Mail or IMP when signing into your webmail account. Don’t like using webmail? Me neither. Fortunately, Riseup offers guides for setting up a plethora of email clients with your Riseup email account. The recommended email client for any system is Thunderbird, the open source email client from Mozilla. The link to this guide is as follows – https://help.riseup.net/en/thunderbird.

The VPN can be connected to via the OpenVPN protocol, and is very easy to set up. Again, Riseup offers guides for all platforms so that you may connect to this VPN. Links for their respective systems can be found here – https://help.riseup.net/en/vpn-howto#detailed-tutorials. When using this VPN, I maintained a solid 5 Mbps connection. It isn’t bad, it’s certainly faster than other VPNs I’ve used, but it’s not great either.

Chat over XMPP is incredibly easy to set up and just works. The recommended application to use here is Pidgin with Off-The-Record Messaging. A guide to setting up your XMPP account with Pidgin is here - https://help.riseup.net/en/pidgin

The etherpad service is especially useful if you want to collaborate with a group of people on a project. It allows anyone with the link to the pad to edit and contribute to the pad. You can access the pad via https://pad.riseup.net/ or https://ttbmov2dezfs2fln.onion/.

In the end, the Riseup collective is a group of activists, and they have other activists in mind when they create these services. All of their work is done to help people fight for causes they deem worthy. If you’re looking for an “all-in-one” collection of privacy-friendly services to use for free (but you should really donate to them), look no further.

Ah, ich dachte.
Ist ein ganz witziges Netzwerk, auch weil es schwieriger ist da eine Addresse zu beziehen.

Na mit den Invite-Codes.
