A subreddit which goes beyond /r/climatecrisis or even /r/ecosocialism to focus on what the “Capitalocene,” as writer Paul Street recently put it, first by replacing ""“anthropogenic” with “capitalogenic”” since it is only in the relatively recent capitalist era that human society has been wired for the endless accumulation of capital rooted in the relentless commodification of nature, including human labor power" and furthermore, believing that

...it is only during a relatively small slice of human history – roughly the last half-millennium give or take a century or so – that humanity has been socially and institutionally constructed wreck livable ecology. Humanity, yes, but only humanity under the command of capital, is the culprit.

As such, this subreddit aims to fight the Capitologenic Climate Catastrophe, sharing news and other analysis in a radical manner. As such was are inspired by documents such as the People's Agreement on April 22, 2010 signed at the World People’s Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
