D.I.S.L.I.B. – the Discordian Internet Society's Library of Interesting Books

So, nach all der Geheimniskrämerei (mehr oder minder) ist es jetzt offiziell so weit: Die DisLib öffnet ihre Pforten. Noch sind nicht alle Bücher eingeräumt und nicht alle Wände gestrichen, aber die Grundlagen sind da, und es war jetzt einfach Zeit. Ron und ich haben ein gutes Fundament gelegt, und wir werden weitermachen.

I'd like to nominate e.g. "The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear" as Discordian. Lots of "children" books are inherently discordian, scare quotes in the sense of the Michael Ende quote: "I don't write books for children, I write books for humans. The reason I sell them as children's book is that otherwise, adults would take them away".

Also, better categorisation, preferably a tag system.

Keine schlechten Vorschläge. Ich meine, wir haben ja schon ein paar Bücher, die nicht explizit diskordianisch sind. Und über die Option, auch Bücher aufzulisten, die nicht online und nicht frei verfügbar sind, hatte ich auch schon nachgedacht. das mit den Tags... mal sehen. Ist viel Arbeit, das auch noch einzubauen.

Now to the good suggestions in your posting:

1. Including (references to) material you can't simply download (usually because it's not free): We thought about that already, and it might be the step-after-next or something.
2. Including works which aren't explicitely discordian: There's already a bunch of stuff in our library we consider somewhat related to discordianism, but I'm not sure if anything of that is already listed.
3. Make this a separate section: Maybe that's a good idea, hadn't thought about it yet.
4. Better categorisation, preferably a tag system: In the beginning, we tried a tag system, but somehow this thing worked better for us while browsing through the library. Maybe I will bring back tags in the future, I'm not really sure about it right now.

Ich müsste mal sehen, wie es auf unserer Seite wirkt. Ich glaube, es ist etwas zu bunt für meinen Geschmack, aber zumindest überlege ich deswegen jetzt, vielleicht von menen ursprünglichen Plänen abzuweichen und die Flügel doch ein wenig bunter zu gestalten, als ich's erst vorhatte (die komplett goldenen Flügel waren nur provisorisch).

Ach so, und wieso "Elementarfarben"? Nach welcher Lehre?
