Of course it’s all in good fun and everybody has a laugh except for the handful of older politicians who had already fallen asleep. Man, why can’t US politicians be a little more lighthearted? “Because they’re all stodgy old @$$holes.” Right? Like the kind of folks who turn all their lights out on Halloween to avoid handing out candy but still send their own kids trick-or-treating. Plus whenever you think they ARE joking about something because it sounds so ridiculous you realize they’re actually being serious. I really am *this close* to starting my own island nation. “I can’t see your fingers, GW, how close was that?” Oh I was Stretch Armstronging it man, islands are f***ing expensive.
